Originally founded as Prepaid Financial Services (PFS) in 2008, PPS has become a major player in the European FinTech space. The company was acquired by the Australian-based EML Payments in 2019. PPS provides the underlying technology and regulatory licensing for other businesses, such as challenger banks, non-financial brands, and fintechs, to launch their own branded financial products. Through a single API, clients can access services including e-money accounts, debit and prepaid card issuing (Mastercard), transaction processing, and access to real-time payment schemes like UK Faster Payments and SEPA.
