Power Financial Corporation was a leading Canadian diversified management and holding company founded in 1984. It held significant interests in major financial services companies, including Great-West Lifeco (insurance), IGM Financial (wealth and asset management), and a stake in the European-based Pargesa Holding. The company's mission was to actively manage its core holdings to foster long-term growth and shareholder value. In February 2020, through a major reorganization, Power Financial was taken private and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of its parent company, Power Corporation of Canada, with its shares being delisted from the Toronto Stock Exchange. Its operations and assets are now fully integrated within Power Corporation of Canada.
