The Pact Global Microfinance Fund (PGMF) is a key component of Pact's economic empowerment strategy. Launched in 2011, PGMF was designed to channel investment capital from socially responsible investors to Pact's network of microfinance institutions (MFIs) operating in developing countries. It functions as a wholesale lender, providing loans to these local MFIs, which in turn use the funds to provide small loans and financial services to underserved entrepreneurs, particularly women. The fund's mission is to help these MFIs achieve scale and sustainability, thereby expanding financial inclusion and creating opportunities for people living in poverty.
