OyaPay Africa was a fintech startup founded in 2017 in Lagos, Nigeria. The company's mission was to simplify payments for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Africa by providing a unified platform for online and offline transactions. Their services included a payment gateway for websites, mobile app-based point-of-sale (mPOS) solutions that allowed merchants to accept card payments via their smartphones, and QR code payments. In 2019, OyaPay was acquired by Verto, a B2B cross-border payments platform, and its team and technology were integrated into Verto's operations.
