NewFortis Sacco, formerly known as Nyeri Teachers Sacco, was registered in 1976 with the primary objective of serving teachers within the Nyeri District. It has since expanded its mandate and membership, opening its common bond to include individuals from various professions, business entities, and corporate institutions across Kenya. The Sacco's mission is to mobilize savings, provide affordable credit, and offer competitive financial solutions to its members, all guided by co-operative principles to promote their socio-economic empowerment. It is licensed and regulated by the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) in Kenya.
