As an operational unit of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, the NFIA was established in 1978 to attract and facilitate foreign direct investment in the Netherlands. It provides free, confidential, and practical support and advice to international companies, covering everything from providing information on Dutch tax law and available permits to introducing companies to a network of regional partners and government authorities.
