Founded in 1928 as The Motorists Mutual Insurance Company, Motorists Insurance Group was a major U.S. property and casualty (P&C) insurance provider based in Columbus, Ohio. The company provided a range of personal and commercial insurance products through a network of independent agents. In 2017, Motorists Insurance Group and BrickStreet Mutual Insurance Company announced an affiliation, and in 2019, the companies fully merged and rebranded under the single name Encova Mutual Insurance Group. Today, Encova Insurance continues the mission of providing financial protection and superior service to policyholders and independent agent partners across numerous U.S. states.
