Originally founded in 2018 as a centralized finance (CeFi) platform for crypto yield generation, Midas.Investments grew to manage over $250 million in assets. However, in late 2022, the company suffered significant losses due to the collapses of Celsius and FTX, leading to the closure of its CeFi platform. The company has since pivoted its business model to a CeDeFi (Centralized-Decentralized Finance) approach. The new platform focuses on providing transparent, on-chain asset management strategies through tokenized vaults, aiming to offer sustainable yields from both crypto and real-world assets (RWA).
