MERJ Exchange Limited, based in and regulated by the Republic of Seychelles, operates as the national securities exchange, clearing agency, and securities depository. Originally established in 2011 as Trop-X, it rebranded to MERJ in 2019 to reflect its focus on becoming a global hub for both traditional securities (equities, debt) and pioneering digital assets, including security tokens. As an affiliate member of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE), MERJ's mission is to provide a compliant and efficient bridge between conventional financial markets and the digital asset economy.
