Founded in 1953, Caja Los Andes is a Chilean "Caja de Compensación," a private entity that manages social security benefits on behalf of the state. As a non-profit corporation, it aims to improve the quality of life for its affiliated workers, pensioners, and their families. The company provides a wide range of services, including social loans (crédito social), health programs, life and health insurance, educational support, tourism benefits, and recreational activities. It is one of the largest and most significant institutions of its kind in Chile.
