Founded in the Netherlands in 1963, LeasePlan grew to become one of the world's leading "Car-as-a-Service" companies, specializing in vehicle leasing and fleet management. The company's services cover the entire vehicle life cycle, including purchasing, insurance, maintenance, and remarketing. In May 2023, LeasePlan was acquired by ALD Automotive. The combined group was subsequently rebranded as "Ayvens", creating a leading global player in sustainable mobility with a total fleet of 3.4 million vehicles managed worldwide. While the LeasePlan brand is being phased out, its legacy and operations form a core part of the new Ayvens entity.
