The International Trade and Forfaiting Association (ITFA) is the global industry body for the trade finance community. The Americas Regional Committee (AMRC), also known as ITFA Americas, was established to promote the association's mission within the Americas. Its history dates back to 1999 when it was formed as the Association of Forfaiters in the Americas (AFA), which then merged with ITFA in 2003. ITFA Americas focuses on fostering business relationships, facilitating knowledge sharing through events and educational initiatives, and advocating for market best practices among its member institutions, which include banks, credit insurers, and other financial entities.
