The Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) was established in 1985 as a member of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group. In 2017, the IIC was officially rebranded and now operates as IDB Invest, consolidating all of the IDB Group's private sector operations under a single brand. Its mission is to promote the economic development of its regional developing member countries by encouraging the establishment, expansion, and modernization of private enterprises. IDB Invest accomplishes this by providing a range of financial solutions, including loans, equity investments, and guarantees, as well as advisory services to private companies and state-owned enterprises.
