The company specialized in originating and servicing residential mortgage loans through its wholesale, correspondent, and retail lending channels. It grew to become one of the largest privately held mortgage companies in the United States. On August 1, 2018, the company was acquired by Citizens Financial Group, and its operations and services were subsequently integrated into Citizens Bank, N.A.
