Established in 1971 (formerly as Materiaalfonds), Fonds Kwadraat is a non-profit revolving fund dedicated to promoting the development of visual arts and design in the Netherlands. Its mission is to support talented artists and designers by offering interest-free loans for specific projects, material purchases, or professional development. As loans are repaid, the funds become available to support new artists, creating a sustainable cycle where artists effectively help other artists.
