Export-Import Bank of the United States
Information by Research Trustfinance
The Export-Import Bank of the United States is an independent executive branch agency with a mission to support American jobs by facilitating the export of U.S. goods and services. Established by executive order in 1934, EXIM helps level the playing field for U.S. exporters by providing financing tools, including export credit insurance, working capital guarantees, and loan guarantees, when private-sector lenders are unable or unwilling to do so. It aims to fill gaps in private sector financing and assumes credit and country risks that the private sector is not prepared to accept, enabling U.S. companies to turn export opportunities into actual sales.
