Established in 2001, the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) is a private association dedicated to serving the European public interest. Its mission is to develop and promote European views within the global standard-setting landscape of financial and sustainability reporting. EFRAG provides crucial technical advice to the European Commission on the endorsement and adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and, since 2022, is also responsible for developing the draft European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
