The Bolsa de Valores de Lima (BVL) is the central securities exchange of Peru, responsible for providing a transparent, fair, and orderly market for the trading of stocks, bonds, and other financial instruments. Founded in 1860, it plays a crucial role in the Peruvian economy by channeling savings towards productive investments. The BVL is a publicly held corporation (Sociedad Anónima Abierta) and is a founding member of nuam exchange, the integrated market formed by the stock exchanges of Colombia, Chile, and Peru, which aims to create a larger, more liquid, and globally competitive regional market.
