Founded in 1996 as AU Financiers (India) Ltd., the company operated as a non-banking finance company (NBFC) primarily focused on financing commercial vehicles and supporting underbanked and unreached small and medium enterprise customers in Rajasthan. After receiving a license from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), it transformed into a Small Finance Bank and commenced its banking operations on April 19, 2017. Today, AU Small Finance Bank offers a complete suite of banking services, including savings and current accounts, fixed deposits, various loan products (vehicle, home, personal, business), credit cards, insurance, and investment services, with a mission to build a convenient, accessible, and inspiring bank.
