Algomi
Information by Research Trustfinance
Founded in 2012, Algomi was a London-based fintech firm created to address liquidity challenges in the corporate bond market. The company developed a proprietary network and software suite, most notably its flagship product 'Synchronicity', which allowed banks, broker-dealers, and buy-side institutions to identify the most likely counterparties for bond trades in a secure and non-disruptive manner. By mapping historical and real-time data, Algomi's technology aimed to create a "social network" for bond trading, increasing efficiency in a traditionally opaque market. In November 2020, Algomi was acquired by BGC Partners, a leading global brokerage and financial technology company, and its technology and personnel were integrated into BGC's Fenics electronic trading division.
