The Third Swedish National Pension Fund (Tredje AP-fonden), or AP3, is a key component of the Swedish national income pension system. Established by the Swedish Parliament, its mission is to manage its portion of the pension system's buffer capital to generate the highest possible long-term return at a low level of risk. AP3 operates as an institutional asset manager, investing globally across a diversified portfolio of equities, fixed-income securities, real estate, timberland, infrastructure, and private equity to contribute to the financial health and stability of Sweden's public pensions.
