AXA XL was formed following the acquisition of XL Group Ltd by AXA in 2018. Prior to this, XL Group had acquired Catlin Group Limited in 2015, creating the entity known as XL Catlin. Today, as AXA XL, the company is the P&C (Property & Casualty) and specialty risk division of AXA. It provides a wide range of insurance and reinsurance products and services to mid-sized, large, and multinational corporations, as well as insurance companies, covering complex and emerging risks across the globe.
