TURKDEX
Information by Research TrustFinance
Founded in Izmir in 2005, the Turkish Derivatives Exchange (TURKDEX) was Turkey's sole, organized derivatives marketplace. It provided a platform for trading futures and options contracts based on equity indices, foreign currencies, interest rates, and commodities. In a strategic move to consolidate Turkish capital markets, TURKDEX merged with Borsa Istanbul (BIST) on August 5, 2013. All of its operations, contracts, and clearing functions were transferred to Borsa Istanbul's Futures and Options Market (VİOP), which now serves as the single platform for all derivatives trading in Turkey.
