Originally established as State Super Financial Services, the company was dedicated to providing financial advice and retirement planning services to members of NSW public sector superannuation schemes. In 2016, it rebranded to StatePlus to reflect its expanding client base. Its core mission was to help members achieve a comfortable retirement through expert financial guidance, investment management, and wealth accumulation strategies. In 2020, StatePlus merged with First State Super and VicSuper to form Aware Super, one of Australia’s largest profit-for-member superannuation funds. The services and expertise of the original company are now integrated into Aware Super's financial advice division.
