Spotcap was a global fintech company founded in 2014 with a mission to provide innovative financing solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Operating in several countries including the Netherlands, Spotcap Nederland B.V. used a sophisticated credit algorithm to offer fast and flexible unsecured business loans. In 2020, Spotcap ceased its direct lending operations in the Netherlands, and its Dutch loan portfolio and business were acquired by Finiata. Following this, the global Spotcap entity pivoted to a Lending-as-a-Service (LaaS) model, providing its technology to financial institutions, before this platform was ultimately acquired by TietoEVRY in 2021.
