Founded in 1962, Sligo Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution that is owned and controlled by its members. Its mission is to promote thrift by providing a safe place for members to save and to offer access to loans at fair and reasonable rates. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the credit union operates for the benefit of the local community, offering a range of services including personal loans, mortgages, current accounts with debit cards, and savings accounts, all while adhering to the cooperative principles of putting people before profit.
