Founded in 1949 as the CAA Federal Credit Union for employees of the Civil Aeronautics Administration, the institution has a long history of serving the aviation community. It later became the FAA Federal Credit Union and was renamed SkyOne Federal Credit Union in 1987 to reflect its expanded field of membership. As a member-owned cooperative, its mission is to provide a full range of financial services—including savings, checking, loans, and investment products—at the best possible value to its members, operating for their benefit rather than for profit.
