Founded in 1948, Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union (SLFCU) was established to serve the employees of Sandia National Laboratories. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, its mission is to provide its members with high-quality financial products and services at fair and competitive rates, returning profits to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings yields, and fewer fees. Over the years, its field of membership has expanded to include employees of more than 1,200 partner companies, their families, and individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in the New Mexico counties of Bernalillo, Cibola, Sandoval, and Valencia.
