Established in 1983, the Reserve Bank of Fiji (RBF) is the central monetary authority for Fiji. Its primary roles include formulating and implementing monetary policy to maintain price stability, issuing and managing Fiji's currency, and regulating and supervising the financial system to ensure its soundness and efficiency. The RBF also acts as the principal banker and financial advisor to the Government of Fiji, manages the country's foreign reserves, and oversees the national payments and settlement systems.
