Originally established as the South Korean subsidiary of the U.S.-based Prudential Financial, Inc., Prudential of Korea was a prominent life insurance provider known for its professional "Life Planner" sales model. The company focused on providing a wide range of life insurance, retirement planning, and wealth management products to the Korean market. In August 2020, KB Financial Group acquired Prudential of Korea. Subsequently, on January 1, 2023, the company was officially merged with KB Financial's existing insurance arm, KB Life Insurance, to create a new, integrated entity named KB Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (KB라이프생명보험).
