Nubi was a financial technology company based in Argentina, founded to simplify digital payments for local users. Its primary business was an exclusive strategic alliance with PayPal, allowing Argentinian individuals and businesses to withdraw funds from their PayPal accounts directly to any local bank account (CBU/CVU) and to top-up their PayPal balances. In late 2021, PayPal ended this partnership. Subsequently, Nubi was acquired by the Argentinian bank Banco Comafi, and its services and customer accounts were migrated to the bank in early 2022, leading to the discontinuation of the Nubi brand as a standalone service.
