Founded in 2012, Mypinpad specialized in providing patented, PCI-certified technology for secure PIN entry on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) devices like smartphones and tablets. Their mission was to replace traditional, expensive POS hardware with software-based solutions (known as SPoC or CPoC), making secure payment acceptance accessible to merchants of all sizes. The company's technology was adopted by payment service providers, acquirers, and processors globally. In April 2022, Mypinpad was acquired by the French multinational company Thales Group and has since been integrated into its digital identity and security services.
