The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) is an arm's-length body sponsored by the UK's Department for Work and Pensions. It was formed in 2019 by merging three government-backed financial guidance providers: the Money Advice Service, The Pensions Advisory Service, and Pension Wise. MaPS operates the consumer-facing brand "MoneyHelper," which is the single destination for free, impartial guidance on a wide range of financial topics, including debt, budgeting, savings, pensions, and benefits, aiming to help people across the UK make the most of their money and pensions.
