Originally established in 1990, the bank was known as Mobiasbanca. In 2007, it became part of the French financial group Société Générale. In 2019, Hungary's OTP Bank Plc. acquired the majority stake, and the bank officially completed its rebranding process to OTP Bank S.A. in 2021. As one of the systemic banks in the Republic of Moldova, it offers a comprehensive range of financial services to over 150,000 retail, SME, and corporate clients through a network of branches and digital channels across the country.
