Jabatan Audit Negara, the National Audit Department of Malaysia, is the country's supreme audit institution, established to ensure public sector accountability and financial integrity. Operating under the authority of the Auditor General as stipulated in the Federal Constitution and the Audit Act 1957, its mission is to conduct professional, independent, and effective audits of federal and state government bodies, statutory bodies, and other public entities. It assesses whether public funds are spent prudently and objectives are met, submitting credible and timely reports to Parliament and State Legislative Assemblies to drive transparency and transformation in the public sector.
