Founded in 1966, Coopenae is one of Costa Rica's largest and most prominent financial cooperatives. It was originally established for the employees of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS) but has since expanded its services to a broader audience. Supervised by the General Superintendency of Financial Entities (SUGEF), Coopenae's mission is to improve the quality of life for its members and their families by providing accessible and competitive financial solutions, including savings accounts, various types of loans, investments, and insurance.
