Founded in 2005, Commonwealth Business Bank (CBB) established itself as a community-focused financial institution headquartered in Los Angeles. The bank's mission was to serve the needs of small to mid-sized businesses, real estate investors, and professionals, with a particular strength in serving the Korean-American community. Its core services included commercial and industrial loans, commercial real estate loans, SBA loans, and a full suite of deposit and treasury management products. In 2018, CBB was acquired by Hanmi Financial Corporation and subsequently merged into its subsidiary, Hanmi Bank, to create a larger and more robust super-regional community bank.
