Coiney

Founded in 2012, Coiney Inc. was a Tokyo-based startup focused on providing accessible and low-cost payment solutions for small and medium-sized businesses in Japan. Its core products included a smartphone-connected credit card reader (similar to Square) and online payment gateway services (Coiney Payge). In 2018, Coiney merged with the e-commerce platform provider Stores.jp to form a new parent company, "hey, inc.". The Coiney brand and its services have since been integrated and rebranded into the "STORES" ecosystem, now operating as "STORES Payments" (STORES 決済).
