In 2021, it completed a merger with First Calgary Financial, Mountain View Financial, and Legacy Financial to form a single, larger entity named Connect First Credit Union. While it now operates under the legal and corporate structure of Connect First, the "Chinook Financial" brand is still actively used for its branches and services in its original geographic region, maintaining its local identity and community focus. The organization's mission is to provide member-focused banking, investment, and lending services.
