Celside Insurance
Information by Research Trustfinance
Celside was a major brand of the French company SFAM, which was part of the Indexia Group. Launched to capitalize on the growing market for device protection, Celside offered insurance policies covering breakage, theft, and oxidation for mobile phones, tablets, and other electronics, primarily sold through retail partners like Fnac and Hubside.Store. The company grew rapidly across Europe but became embroiled in controversy and legal disputes over its sales and billing practices. Following numerous customer complaints and regulatory actions, the parent company, Indexia Group, faced severe financial distress and was ultimately placed into judicial liquidation in April 2024, leading to the cessation of its operations.
