Founded in 2011 in Brazil, Bidu Corretora de Seguros was one of the country's first digital insurance brokers (insurtech). The company's mission was to simplify the process of researching, comparing, and purchasing insurance policies for consumers. Their online platform offered a range of products, including auto, home, travel, and life insurance, from multiple providers. In 2020, Bidu was acquired by Banco BMG to accelerate the bank's expansion into the insurance market. The Bidu brand and its technology have since been integrated into BMG's financial services ecosystem.
