The Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN) is an independent, member-owned, not-for-profit association founded in 2008. Its mission is to establish and promote a common architectural framework for the banking industry to solve interoperability issues and streamline integration. BIAN provides a shared language and blueprint for banking services, helping financial institutions, technology providers, and system integrators to increase agility, reduce costs, and foster innovation by standardizing how banking software components are defined, built, and interact with each other.
