However, it faced significant financial difficulties due to a high portfolio of non-performing loans and poor asset quality. On September 18, 2018, the National Bank of Kazakhstan revoked its banking license for systematic violations of financial regulations and its inability to meet its obligations to depositors, leading to a forced liquidation process.
