Zawadisha is a non-profit social enterprise dedicated to empowering rural women in Kenya through a micro-lending model. Instead of providing cash, the company finances life-changing assets such as solar lamps, clean cookstoves, and rainwater harvesting tanks. Their mission is to provide a sustainable path out of poverty by helping women invest in their livelihoods, save money, and improve their health and environment. The model is community-based, utilizing peer-to-peer groups for loan distribution and repayment support.
