wywallet
Information by Research TrustFinance
WyWallet was launched in 2012 as a joint venture by Sweden's four largest mobile network operators: Telia, Telenor, Tele2, and 3 (Hi3G Access AB). The company's mission was to create a leading mobile wallet for the Swedish market, allowing users to make point-of-sale payments, transfer money between individuals, and pay for online services and goods directly with their mobile phones. Despite its significant backing, the service struggled to gain widespread adoption and faced intense competition from the bank-owned mobile payment system, Swish. In 2015, WyWallet announced it would be discontinuing its services and officially ceased its payment operations.
