Created by the Wyoming Legislature in 1975, the Wyoming Community Development Authority (WCDA) is an instrumentality of the state dedicated to helping Wyoming residents attain quality and affordable housing. As a self-sustaining, non-profit organization, the WCDA accomplishes its mission by providing low-interest single-family mortgages, down payment assistance, homebuyer education, and special needs housing programs. It funds its operations primarily through the sale of tax-exempt mortgage revenue bonds.
