Founded in 1975 on the initiative of Ascom Padova (the local association for commerce, tourism, and services), Unionfidi Padova is a financial intermediary supervised by the Bank of Italy. Its core mission is to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in obtaining financing from banks. It achieves this by issuing collective credit guarantees, which reduce the risk for lending institutions and thereby improve the terms and accessibility of loans for its member companies.
