Launched in March 2022 by Pussy Riot's Nadya Tolokonnikova, UnicornDAO is a feminist movement and investment fund with a mission to build a curated collection of art from women, non-binary, and LGBTQ+ creators. The DAO pools funds from its members to purchase NFTs and other digital assets, aiming to correct the gender imbalance in the NFT space where female-identified artists are significantly underrepresented. Beyond collecting, UnicornDAO also provides funding and support for emerging Web3 projects and artists aligned with its inclusive and equality-focused values.
