THORChain is a decentralized and autonomous liquidity network built to facilitate the swapping of native digital assets across disparate blockchain networks without the need for wrapped tokens or centralized intermediaries. Its mission is to enable a future where users can move any asset to any other asset in a permissionless, trust-minimized, and non-custodial way. The protocol uses a Continuous Liquidity Pool (CLP) model, where assets are pooled to provide liquidity for swaps. The network's security and operations are managed by a system of anonymous nodes, and its native utility token, RUNE, is used for governance, security, and to pair with all assets in the liquidity pools. The protocol is community-owned and operated.
