Established in 2007 by microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Jordan, Tanmeyah serves as the official representative and advocate for the Jordanian microfinance industry. Its mission is to support the sector by providing capacity building, fostering transparency, promoting responsible financial practices, and lobbying for a favorable regulatory environment. Tanmeyah works to enhance the sustainability and outreach of its member MFIs, thereby contributing to poverty alleviation and economic development in Jordan, but it does not provide financial services or loans directly to the public.
